This should not be needed for the stable lifetime of Wheezy, once #690729 is fixed (iceweasel: Please add a 'Breaks: xul-ext-torbutton' in the next ESR upload), as Lunar^ rightfully would rather not ship torbutton in Wheezy. However, for current users of testing, such as users who are upgrading from Squeeze, I think it's totally worth providing the proposed torbutton. This would ensure: 1. they have a usable iceweasel again 2. they are aware of the serious anonymity issues caused by the new ESR incompatibility with torbutton, and suggested alternative solutions. The current situation can be summed up as "false impression of security", which is clearly not satisfying. The 1.4.6.3 code changes are bugfixes, comments and translations, and a single new feature (improved support of transparent proxying) whose implementation mostly boils down to new configuration settings handling. I don't know enough JavaScript to pretend I have seriously reviewed the diff, but I've read it all, and it seems to make sense.
