I have to admit that I'm not really keen on approving an update which consists of "add this tar to the source package". I'm also still not sure why the suggestion is to add the changes via such a binary update rather than a patch - I appreciate that the changes might be large, but that doesn't preclude being able to produce an actual diff. (Codebases where patches can't be backported also really don't thrill me with an SRM hat on, but that's another matter.) Regards, Adam
