Hi. I have encountered "Attempt to to extract the Rescue Floppy faild" error while I was trying to install s390 Debian. I was using 2.4.7 kernel and initrd found under /debian/dists/woody/main/disks-s390/3.0.17-2001-11-18/. I've created second stage initrd using script found under http://people.debian.org/~sgybas/deb390/scripts/mkinitrd2-2416.sh
