I am sorry for the inconvenience. The list of packages using libgnome is so small now (basically it's gjots2, gnome-commander, revelation, xword & linsmith. gjots2 has been ported for years but the Debian maintainer has been reluctant to ship the new version.) and libgnome has been abandoned upstream for so long (7 years) that I don't feel letting someone adopt it makes sense. As things stand now, linsmith will need to be ported away from libgnome by early February if we want linsmith to be present in the Buster release next year. By that point, it will have been removed from Testing for an entire year.
