Hi Patrick,
I have both library files.
I don't know how to check the MD5 sum. I assume apt-get would do that
before install.
The .deb file I downloaded by ftp has a size of 620414 (using wc -c).
The file at your link http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/sparc/lesstif2
has a size of 608.5 kB.
The package at the Debian ftp site which is where apt-get got what it
installed is listed as 606kB.
So, I don't really know what size it actually is!
Best regards,
Fred

It looks like it has *.so files in the package. I just downloaded it
and the size of the *.deb matches the site.
Maybe you can do some checking?
1) Do you not have /usr/lib/libXm.so.2 or libMrm.so.2?
2) Does your *.deb package match the expected file size?
3) If you download the package directly from the site, does the MD5
sum match the package you have locally?
If all else fails, you can open a bug for it or email the maintainer
to see if there are any sparc-specific changes that might have results
in a bad package.

Hello,
I am working with Debian Squeeze on a Sun Ultra 5 and am having
trouble installing lesstif2-0.95.2-1.1. The package appears to
install ok but no files are actually written. I have an x86 PC
also with Debian 6.0 and lesstif2 installed so I can see what
files are involved and where they should be. None of them exists
on the Sun. I had the same problem installing the previous
version of lesstif2 (without the -1) from a DVD set. What to do?
Best regards,
Fred
