DC-390 not supported by stock 2.2.4 boot-floppies?

I have the following notes on the boot-floppies' todo:

  Tekram DC-390 -- reported by Dietmar Schultz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and
                   "Andrew M.A. Cater" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
                   disable CONFIG_SCSI_DC390T and enable CONFIG_SCSI_AM53C974 
(now a module)

Does 2.2.4 boot-floppies still suffer from this problem?  Do we need
an alternate kernel for this driver?
