Tenho o mesmo problema com uma HPT372. Ocorre a mesma coisa, e eu já mandei inúmeros mails pra esta lista e também para a lista debian gringa sem obter uma resposta satisfatória. Aí um dia, navegando por acaso, descobri um macete que me ajudou.
passei a seguinte linha de comando pro kernel: ide0=0x1f0 ide1=0x170 ide2=0 ide3=0 ide4=0 ide5=0 ide6=0 ide7=0 ide8=0 ide9=0 Dessa maneira, esse diabo de kernel, que mesmo não botando suporte para HPT ele reconhece igual, não vai conseguir atribuir nenhum i/o para a controladora RAID, e aí não vai tentar reconhecer os HD's na hora de boot, portanto, não vai mais travar por erros de lost interrupt. O ide0=0x1f0 ide1=0x170 é para a controladora VIA. Depois é só carregar o módulo scsi. Por que não se pode utilizar dispositivos ATAPI na controladora HPT? Que saco isso! Também queria colocar DVD-ROM e gravadora fora da ide0 e ide1.
