the information here might help you. http://www.sendmail.org/~ca/email/chk-89.html one of the more important reasons for considering the alternatives (exim, postfix, & etc.) is that they are easier to use. ease of use saves time and stress on the follicles due to tearing one's hair out in frustration. the problem with sendmail is that it tends to take over your life. i spent three hellish months a few years back trying to develop a proficiency in sendmail ruleset syntax only to discover that the huge effort in no way guaranteed the server's security. there's a reason that sendmail is not the default mailer in debian: there are better ways to spend the time it will cost you. personally, i'd recommend moving to exim and enjoying the time saved. ben -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
