I don't know about Firefox, but for Mozilla I put
/* UI fonts */
* {
 font-size: 8pt !important;
 font-family: Tahoma !important;
}
into ~/.mozilla/default/*/chrome/userChrome.css.  Adjust as necessary 
for your case.

 

I can only find two css file under ~/.mozilla/firefox/defaultXXX/chrome:
"userChrome-example.css  userContent-example.css".
It seems both are *example* file. I wonder where i can set the *real*  
configure file, under the same directory?
