I had this problem when using the new boot disks set. The only way I
found to install Debian 1.2 was to replace the rescue disk of this
set by the boot disk of the Debian 1.1 set and later on change
the kernel installed by a new one which I had compiled for my
hardware. My CD-ROM drive is an ordinary ATAPI one.
