To re-install an MS-DOS MBR, boot DOS from a floppy and type 'fdisk /mbr'. Lilo can boot any partition you like; check it's man page. If you don't like the lilo interface, you may want to check the page in my .sig; Boot Control provides alternative MBRs that give an (IMHO) nicer user interface.
