Starting from the Debian Rescue disk the mentioned task should not take much work. It is possible to make the ramdisk bigger so that a full libc can be used, and a lot of stuff that is needed for installation only could be thrown away to make room for pppd etc. Also a custom kernel with the serial driver compiled in might save some bytes (with the side effect that booting probably also will be faster because less devices are probed) Nils - -- \ / | Nils Rennebarth --* WINDOWS 42 *-- | Schillerstr. 61 / \ | 37083 Göttingen | ++49-551-71626 Micro$oft's final answer | http://www.nus.de/~nils -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.3i Charset: noconv iQB1AwUBM4wJJlptA0IhBm0NAQH9TAL/UOqEnGhcxphEjDfrgD8w4mj5DCjJj2eq m5gz8gywEuJsGUk9hr5CtsyFk3ESML8K3kopjNhYE7drjrOf8zpKLuWsCVYNRMNe nSj5IeJWhOb0eY90wblsEVmpplSFLNQo =gcv0 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
