The users can run 'groups' to see what groups they are in. See man
adduser
on how to add a user to a group, but being lazy, I just edit /etc/group
using a text editor (as root). In my /etc/group:
games:*:60:ed
You add more users to the games group by adding a comma then the next user
like:
games:*:60:ed,joe,billybob
