Howdy folks! Hey, I'm trying to upgrade a syste across the internet and am having one heck of a time with packet loss and stalled transfers and time-outs. really an issue.
Is anyone else seeing this? Ping is reporting anywhere from 13% to 55% packet loss between me and my clients system in Myrtle beach, SC, USA. Tracroute is also showing lots of hops with times in the 2000-5000ms range. This isn't normal. Is it? I donn't think it's any my systems here, as they seem to have no problems. It's possible that it's a configuration issue on the client's system that's causing the file transfer issues. But the ping/traceroute results are independant of that system. The problems seems to mostly be with sprintlink in Chicago or InfoAve (whereever they are...Southern US...?)
