I have a single phone line, a 28800 dialup connection, and a 100hr/month limit. I subscribe to 14 Debian mailing lists including devel and user. I can't read it all, but I have no problems downloading it. I run a news server and download the dozen or so newsgroups I read via suck and read news off line. If the Debian lists were converted to newsgroups, I would have to download them as well. I doubt that I could get the Debian news from news.debian.org as fast as I can get my mail from my ISP. -- John Hasler This posting is in the public domain.
