I can't answer your specific question, but if it is IDE it is not SCSI.
Try devices /dev/hd[bcd] (I assume /dev/hda is a hard disk).

1st IDE master          /dev/hda
1st IDE slave           /dev/hdb
2nd IDE master          /dev/hdc
2nd IDE slave           /dev/hdd
