Hmm, ok :-)  I guess it depends on your perspective ... having spent
the last few years writing software that interacts with hardware via
SNMP it seemed like an obvious answer :-)

If I had one of those SNMP modules here I'd whip together a script,
but my APC is directly attached using a serial cable.
