I noticed that mkinitrd (for building initial ram disks) doesn't seem to be in a Debian package. Have I just overlooked it and it is really hiding in some deb file, or is it really not around?
I can install it from scratch easily enough, but I was wondering if there was some reason that this fairly basic Linux tool wasn't present in the thousands of packages that make up a Debian distribution. -- Jeff Lessem.
