I'm running a Philips webcam (645 I think?). I use vgrabbj to take snapshots: http://gecius.de/vgrabbj/ Jens (author) has put together a .deb package, awaiting approval to be included in Debian. ;) I also have found XawTV works producing a live video image from the camera. You will find more software listed at the following site. Which is also where you can get the Philips driver for your cam: http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam/ Mark Hurley
