I should have mentionned that I am doing this install from a CDROM set of Potato, r0. I have been using that CD set for several months now and this has never cropped up. Weird!!
I can't find a termwrap on any of the systems I have access to right now (3) all with updated potato installation. A search on Debian.org reveals nothing of significance.
