It would be soooo easy on most cases if they just used OpenGL and not Direct3D. That's why Quake III runs so well under X and nonOpenGL games are so difficult to port... I have absolutelly no idea why anyone would use Direct3D instead of OpenGL but then that's my POV.. :) - Adam
