apt-get will restart any Debianized daemons (exim, postfix, smbd/nmbd, etc, etc, ad nauseum). All non-Debianized daemons and interactive apps will have to be manually restarted. lib* upgrades (*probably*) also require manually restarting dependent apps. libc6 upgrades pretty much require a machine bounce, since so much other stuff requires it. - -- Ron Johnson, Jr. Jefferson LA USA Is "common sense" really valid? For example, it is "common sense" to white-power racists that whites are superior to blacks, and that those with brown skins are mud people. However, that "common sense" is obviously wrong. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFFPf5rS9HxQb37XmcRAiGyAKCkBnS9kctooBDRioqQ7yW4S/rZxQCggryl VA+btHtGLXqRCETU2vavREk= =dNrD -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
