ISP dhcp server is not likely to respond to dhcp requests from eth1. your ppp is getting IPs from your ISP. Not eth1. when both ppp0 and eth1 is up, run the following commands as root: These commands flushes out any iptables rules: #iptables --flush #iptables --table nat --flush #iptables --delete-chain #iptables --table nat --delete-chain These 2 commands gets NAT and forwarding on: #iptables --table nat --append POSTROUTING --out-interface ppp0 -j MASQUERADE #iptables --append FORWARD --in-interface eth1 -j ACCEPT This has to get the ball rolling.
