I agree 100%. She must know that this is *not* XP! Some things won't work exactly like they do in Windows. GNOME with the Crux theme and a blue-grey "Selected colors" should be comfortable on her eyes. However, reassure her that it will be "close enough" to XP that she won't feel like she's in an alien land.
