then be burnt by wodim. But there is an outstanding bug in genisoimage
that means some standalone players wont play them. My Panasonic DVD
recorder for one :(.

You need to create the dvd-video structure. dvdauthor is the tool from
the command line that does this. Its very simple to get a basic dvd
with no menus, but with some learning you can create very good looking
dvd's.
