Hey there, "the list". I was wondering, i recently sat up my own smtp/imap server, behind my firewall.. (running Exim/Courier)
And i had a little of problems with smtp spammers, so i finaly got the relay settings tightened up, so that only i could recive/send messages.. Or so i Thougt. but now i get (not as much as i did earlier) messages looking like this in the header : ----------------- Received: from [192.168.1.1] (helo=vsmtp3.tin.it) by debianservee with esmtp (Exim 3.35 #1 (Debian)) id 1A1JLU-0002Mz-00 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Mon, 22 Sep 2003 07:34:56 +0200 Received: from onjfkqlv (80.182.122.212) by vsmtp3.tin.it (7.0.019) id 3F4F1DDF008F7A00; Mon, 22 Sep 2003 09:13:48 +0200 Datum: Mon, 22 Sep 2003 09:13:48 +0200 (added by [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (added by [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Från: Internet Message Service <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Till: Internet Client <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Ämne: Undeliverable Message: Returned To Mailer X-ID: 7711122818343797218378758 Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="cqlvbrreglh" X-Evolution-Source: imap://[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ --------------------- where 192.168.1.1 is the local interface for my firewall. (all mails dont have these particular adresses, they come from different hosts, yahoo, aol, etc etc..) Why? i havent done anything to my imap/smtp settings.. and.. how do i prevent it ? can i prevent it, or do i have to live with it? (hope not!!)
