Hey there, "the list".What's your firewall? Is your firewall receiving the e-mails then passing them to Exim? If so, it may not be modifying the headers of the e-mail to indicate this.
I was wondering, i recently sat up my own smtp/imap server, behind my firewall.. (running Exim/Courier)
And i had a little of problems with smtp spammers, so i finaly got the relay settings tightened up, so that only i could recive/send messages..
Or so i Thougt. but now i get (not as much as i did earlier) messages
looking like this in the header :

where 192.168.1.1 is the local interface for my firewall.
(all mails dont have these particular adresses, they come from different
hosts, yahoo, aol, etc etc..)
