Reinstalling the system won't help. I used packages.debian.org to figure this out and followed the solution listed here: http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=62877&sid=fa12a2b8afd8827ef9ce71e8826d049f&start=15 Have you installed the package dkms? This in turn should install the package linux-kbuild-3.2 which includes the needed scripts.
