With cards like that, the drivers aren't involved and there is no software configuration required for the graphics card. The hardware takes any signal it receives on the SPDIF input and sends it to the HDMI output. If your hardware is working, whatever problem you're having is getting sound out of your SPDIF output on the Intel sound card and not related to anything nvidia or hdmi.
