I think that I need to use a 2.6.0 kernel. Is this right? How do > I create an installation CD with a different kernel?
Nope. But you might have to compile a custom kernel. Include the Silicon Image SATA drivers. Should be in the latest 2.4.x kernels. The following is a link to how to replace the boot floppy kernel: http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/ch-boot-floppy-techinfo.en.html#s-rescue-replace-kernel -- icq: 34583382 | Nethack 3.4.2 is out! http://www.nethack.org jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | "And how can man die better / Than facing msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | fearful odds / For the ashes of his fathers / yim: tsunad | and the temples of his gods?" ~ Babington
