No problem - glad to be of help > Well now I have to options: > > first is always to put the parameters by hand when I will going to burn > CDs > > second: I could try to flash my bios - which I haven't been trying till > now because some people told me that this is a very tricky thing which > could destroy my motherboard resp. the bios-chip. Well, I 'll see .... I've flashed my BIOS before and no harm has come of it (the board wouldn't recognise PC100 DIMMs otherwise) as well as my CD-Writer. Of course, it helps if you computer is old, like mine. There must be some sort of configuration file on the floppy disk -- have you tried mounting it? You could also try recompiling your kernel. This would allow you to place the necessary parameters in /etc/modules.conf instead of in LILO. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
