My SMTP sever (postfix) fails blocking spam when checking with spamhaus: Dec 14 15:07:24 srv postfix/smtpd[26981]: warning: 177.210.252.131.xbl.spamhaus.org: RBL lookup error: Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=177.210.252.131.xbl.spamhaus.org type=A: Host not found, try again
and: host xbl.spamhaus.org just returns with no data or error message. FWIW, 'host -t ns spamhaus.org' returns a list of 19 nameservers. Did yesterday, anyway; today 4. and: host xbl.spamhaus.org ns3.spamhaus.org returns: Using domain server: Name: ns3.spamhaus.org Address: 2001:610:510:188:192:16:188:181#53 Aliases: I asked about this yesterday on the SDLU list and got quite a few suggestions, a couple of which said they were having intermittent problems with spamhaus DNS too. But my fails are solid as a rock, and none of the others solved my problem. Any ideas? -- Glenn English
