I'm glad it helped. Any idea which commands helped? When a virtual machine initializes its "hardware", it doesn't always do it the way that a real machine would. Having a default volume of 0 might be silly, but pretty much any setting would annoy someone. I expect you have done the "where is this beep coming from?" dance yourself. -dsr-
