However, Linux MD RAID-1 will only ever achieve the read performance of a single device per thread, so in order to get the read performance benefit of multiple copies you either need to use multiple reading threads / processes or else use RAID-10 instead. https://www.spinics.net/lists/raid/msg47240.html ZFS does not suffer from this.
