(using lua to generate the grub scripts from the snapshots) and some extension for ubuntu to keep the boot requirements intact.
I myself did abandon ubuntu way before that, but i had a look and it seems to work quite well. Only i am not returning to their derivative just for this benefit. Maybe you want to take a look at it for yourself? DdB
