Joke aside, trees don't produce heat themselves (AFAIK ...), so the only
way is to reflect the IR from the sun.
Or there is some animal walking the tree.
So your PIR is either broken or way too sensitive.
Some provide a sensitivity setting via a potentiometer, but YMMV.
Usually, sensitivity is correlated to the range (ie. meters) of the IR
sensor.
