i wrote:
> $ sudo mount offset=2291712 /mnt/fat

For the archives, this would of course have to be

  $ sudo mount offset=2291712 debian-12.2.0-amd64-netinst.iso /mnt/fat

The number 2291712 was computed from the partition start block 4476
multiplied by the block size 512.
