Actually every message has a bit broken header with a link to the list archive, see List-Archive.

Having Message-ID, it is more convenient to open that message inside mailer or in another web mailing list archive. Instead, your are suggesting to use a link that is local to the lists.debian.org web site.

There is even "mid:" URL scheme to make Message-ID links explicit.

P.S. Usually I am trying to postpone replies unrelated to topic main issue till it can be considered solved. This case the suggestion is a bit controversial.
