At least in my area of the world, autistic burnout is not something that most medical professionals will recognise, diagnose or even help to treat. My family have been battling with this for a year or so. I have many documents from professionals who *always* write the term in quotes, "autistic burnout", and almost always distance themselves from a diagnosis, with summaries such as "Person X describes patient Y as being in 'autistic burnout'". Which is to say, unfortunately, professional help is not always the be-all and end-all.
