the proposal re-words 5.2.7 to:
7. The decision will be made using the method specified in section A.6
of the Standard Resolution Procedure. The quorum is the same as
for a General Resolution (s.4.2) and the default option is "None Of
The Above".
in this case, for the default option to be equal to status quo, the
default option would have to be ``The current officeholder.'' however,
the default option is ``None Of The Above.'' if the default option won,
then there would be no one in the office of Project Leader. that is
significantly different from staus quo.
under the amendment, if a Project Leader election failed to meet quorum,
then elections would be pushed back another two weeks, plus or minus one
week at the pleasure of the current Project Leader. of course, this does
not affect the term of the Project Leader as specified by 5.2.8 (The
Project Leader serves for one year from their election).
only in the case (as per the proposed A.3.3, which is not affected by
the amendment) that the default option is not specified, does it revert
to Further Discssion. within the scope of the constitution, the only
time that the default option is specified is for Project Leader
elections.
