Getting rid of the last major (only?) remaining user of cvs.debian.org is a large benefit. This is the last CVS repository most of us have to deal with. It's slow. It's a special case both in using CVS and in not being on alioth. Running the CVS pserver on gluck is an added security exposure for Debian[1]. Bikeshedding over the VCS someone chooses to move to from CVS is, well, bikeshedding. -- see shy jo [1] Sadly an exposure alioth also currently has.
