Trying 2.11 now. Hard to say how often this used to happen, since it happened to me only twice. I'll report if it happens again. I also now have the fallbackdebug option on. I don't know what happens when this particular bug strikes, but here are some of the output that mentions uxa_copy_n_to_n: ------------------------------------------------------------ [...] UXA fallback at uxa_copy_n_to_n: from 0x296e560 to 0x296e650 (m,m) UXA fallback at uxa_copy_n_to_n: from 0x296e560 to 0x296f0c0 (m,m) UXA fallback at uxa_copy_n_to_n: from 0x296e560 to 0x296fcf0 (m,m) [lots of these...] [...] UXA fallback at uxa_copy_n_to_n: from 0x296e560 to 0x29834b0 (m,s) UXA fallback at uxa_copy_n_to_n: from 0x296f0c0 to 0x27dbba0 (m,s) (II) intel(0): fallback: (II) Component alpha not supported with source alpha and source value blending. UXA fallback at uxa_copy_n_to_n: from 0x296fcf0 to 0x2800750 (m,s) [...] ------------------------------------------------------------ There's lots of that. The whole log (without a crash, from x-x-o-video-intel 2.11) is at http://www.hut.fi/~sliedes/Xorg.0.log.bz2 (188k compressed) in case you are interested. Otherwise I'll get back if/when I see the crash again. Sami
