Ca dépend...

Si c'est un "Lucent winmodem", intégré par exemple dans tous les
portables Toshiba récents et d'autres Laptops, Lucent a sorti
récemment un driver Linux; et ça marche ! :-)

Subject: Driver for Lucent PCI modems - RPM available

Lucent have commissioned a linux driver for all PCI modems based upon
their chipset which is now available.

Definite Software arehappy to announce the availability of an RPM
release
of the driver which is suitable for Definite Linux, Red Hat Linux,
Mandrake, SuSE, Caldera and other RPM based distributions.

Please note that this driver only supports PCI modems based upon the
Lucent chipset and that the driver is a binary only kernel module. It
may
not work for you if you have an SMP kernel or a kernel built with
larger
memory support.

The RPM can be downloaded from
http://www.definitesoftware.com/LucentPCI-1.1-1.i386.rpm and will be
included with Definite Linux - unless, of course, the GPL project to
create a driver has an offering in time.

The driver was produced by Eric Bentley who is not connected with
Definite
Software plc. While we are happy to produce and release an RPM package
based upon his excellent work we don't support software for which we
have
no source.
