It isn't easy.
The catch is that you need to get addresses out where spammers are going to
find them. The two most common ways of doing this are either using the
address as the return address for postings to Usenet (which requires that
you post useful messages, but use the spamtrap return address), or adding
the addresses to web sites where spammers will find them.
FWIW, we set up several addresses on websites -- we've had hundreds of
viruses sent to those addresses, but not a single spam.
