Would it make sense to start building beta documentation at the same time
you release beta code, and create a beta testers web site with the beta
documentation.  That way people can provide feed-back on the documentation
as well as the code prior to release.  Then, once the beta code is ready to
be released, your supporting documentation is ready to be placed in the
manual, as well.

Just a thought...
