That's a real shame! If you received a negative response from an SPF participating domain, you should be able to reject the message straight off. That way you aren't left 'carrying the can' so to speak, and the email gets stuck with the HiJacked server or the spammer. Similar to how AOL reject connected if the rev DNS lookup fails.
