Trying to run a LDAP query against a Windows 2003 server DC, I keep getting a "exchange2aliases.vbs<41, 1> <null>: An operations error occurred" error message. The Exchange server is Exchange 2000 on a Windows 2000 server.
I also then see in the security event log on the Windows 2003 server DC, Event Type: Failure Audit Event Source: Security Event Category: Logon/Logoff Event ID: 529 Date: 9/2/2004 Time: 11:44:26 PM User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Computer: nameofclientwindows2003serverdc Description: Logon Failure: Reason: Unknown user name or bad password User Name: myusernameasloggedontomyimailserver Domain: domainnamemyimailserverbelongstoo Logon Type: 3 Logon Process: NtLmSsp Authentication Package: NTLM Workstation Name: nameofmyimailserver Caller User Name: - Caller Domain: - Caller Logon ID: - Caller Process ID: - Transited Services: - Source Network Address: ipaddressofmyimailserver Source Port: 4726 For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
