If you are moving form IMail to smartermail your declude files will transfer over with out and issue, you may need to change path settings in your config files. I have dont this on one live domain that I am testing declude and smartermail with. Only problem at this point is the declude registration which is not affecting spam processing.
As for the auto install it will not update or modify any of your config files and that is as it should be. It would be scarry if it tried to especially with the flexibility of declude.
