In my case, I am seeing more spam get through because of filters using HELO were made ineffective AND more false positives do to white filters using HELO became ineffective.

Anyone using that variable in their filters needs to be aware of this bug and review the log files to see if it is negatively affecting your filters. I have had to revert to an earlier version because of this.
