Harry

If you are running Alligate AND IMail on the same machine,
how do you have DNS / Alligate / IMail configured?

I'm a little confused.
If IMail is set up to respond on port 25,
what did you have to do to have Alligate get port 25 and NOT IMail?
AND, when the Customer SENDS an email, does it go thru
Alligate also? Or does the Customers email go directly to IMail?

My configuration Ex: for domain xyz.com
in DNS
an "A" record points to the IP on the IMail server
a "MX" record points to the "A" record
mail A 123.123.123.123
MX 10 mail.xyz.com

Customer (in Outlook Express)
POP3 entry is mail.xyz.com
SMTP entry is mail.xyz.com
Customer can also go to http://mail.xyz.com for web email

Does anything have to change :
(1) in DNS
(2) at the Customers end

Thanks very much
Ferrell Ard
